Flourless Crispy Fried Chicken



This flourless crispy fried chicken recipe delivers the classic southern fried chicken flavor and crunch without the use of traditional flour. The chicken is marinated in buttermilk and coated in a flavorful cornflake and Parmesan mixture before being air fried to perfection.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

Place the chicken breasts in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them

Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator

In a separate bowl, combine crushed cornflakes, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper

Preheat your air fryer to 375F 190C

Remove each chicken breast from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and then coat them thoroughly in the cornflake mixture

Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking

Place the coated chicken breasts in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch each other

Spray the top of the chicken breasts with cooking spray for extra crispiness

Air fry the chicken at 375F 190C for 18-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, or until they are golden brown and cooked through

The internal temperature should reach 165F 74C

Remove the flourless crispy fried chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving
